2007 Clark County Fair wild horse booth and demonstrations PDF Print E-mail

The Wild Horse Adoption Assocation of America sponsored a booth in coordination with the Bureau of Land Management (BLM) at the 2007 Clark County Fair in Logandale, NV.  In addition to the booth, WHAAA brought two yearling horses to display in the daily demonstrations at the fair.

The overall effort was a huge success!  Working together with the BLM, the two horses, Bonnie and Clyde, were adopted on the first day of the fair - and would have been adopted many times over.  Thousands of visitors came to the booth and the demonstrations endearing many in the crowd to the yearlings.

Check out the photo gallery for images of Bonnie and Clyde along with other photos of the Clark County Fair demonstrations.

As a result of our ongoing work, we were able to assist in the adoption of two additional yearlings, Sassy and Taffy.  Working with two interested Nevadans, we assisted in the adoption process.

Together in WHAAA's trailer, residents of Cold Creek, Nevada were brought to BLM's facility in Ridgecrest, California to finalize the adoption.  We then brought Sassy, Taffy and their new owners back to Cold Creek for a wonderful life together.

WHAAA gave away a 27-inch flat screen TV and daily rodeo tickets as drawing prizes during the fair.  As a result of the people signing up for the drawing; WHAAA compiled at least 100 new members of the public interested in learning more about adopting a Wild Horse or Burro.
