National Wild Horse Association
The National Wild Horse Association is a registered non-profit 501 (c)(3) organization run completely by volunteers. The NWHA was established in 1971 when Congress passed the "Wild, Free-Roaming Horse and Burro Act" with one important purpose in mind - insuring the welfare of wild horses and burros and their survival in an ecologically balanced environment on the open range.
